The annex is the small periwinkle blue (some say purple) house adjacent to the winery farm, less than ¼ mile away. It is a cozy space that can comfortably hold about 15 people inside. We've had lots more than 15 people at some events during nice weather where people can spill outside onto the front and back porches and into the yard. It has a full kitchen that is useful not only for cooking classes, but also when people bring food in for events. There is a bathroom inside - the purple outhouse outside is just for show!
The main activity we hold at the annex is cooking classes. These hands-on classes include a glass of wine while eating the food that you make. Extra wine may be purchased if desired. You must pay in advance when registering and the fee is nonrefundable. Recipe packets are provided. A list of scheduled cooking classes is available in the Winery Happenings section of the website. As well as scheduled cooking classes, we are holding private cooking classes; if you get a group of 8 friends together, you can schedule a private class with Colleen.
Another type of class being held are painting classes at least once per month. These are really fun and absolutely no artistic talent is required! Again, the schedule can be found under the Winery Happenings tab.
In addition to classes at the annex, we are also having small gatherings for birthday celebrations, retirement parties, corporate functions, etc. The cost for using the annex for these types of activities is $300 for 2 hours and $50 per hour for each additional hour. One unique example was a group of women who came for a tasting and had chair massages while tasting wine!
